When you cannot eliminate them, avoid them
It cannot be avoided. With all the aggressive marketing marketers are doing online today, it looks like spam is here to stay. And for good too. But do not go freaking out yet. There are steps you can take to ensure that these spams will not get anywhere your system. Saving you the entire headache in keeping your security clean and spam-free. When you have noticed or encountered any incident of spam, be sure to notify your email provider immediately. It is easier to stop these things at the first signs. Do not open and save any attachment sent to you. You can do this is you are sure where and who it came from. If you are not sure of its origins, you can try sending a message to the sender to inquire about the message you just received. You have the power to filter and even block email subscriptions and promotions other than trying to unsubscribe to them. Besides the fact that unsubscribing does not really work, you will probably get more of these promotions when you do. Lastly, avoid posting your email on forums, other websites, etc. Be sure that you know what kind of business you are giving out your contact details to. [Link]
Time to get on
There is no stopping it. Advertising and marketing is ruling the internet world. It seems everyone is taking their business online, whether people like it or not. And why not? If that is where the people and the money are, then that is where advertisers will be heading. You cannot really blame them. Everybody is going online. Since the easiest access from information to products and services is the internet, it is no wonder that instead of searching or asking friends for something you need, you would probably open your computer and look for it online. There was even a quote stating that when you cannot find something online, chances are it doesn’t exist. This is probably true because no one is bothering to tell the world about it. Or internet is not yet known in wherever they are staying. Or both. Companies like Web Placements: Internet Marketing Strategies and E-Commerce Solutions are even offering the best of the best service in making online marketing work for the best so you, your site and your company will be among the ones making it big already. The extent of online advertising
When compared with advertising using paper, sign boards or television, online promotion is really way cheapest. All you need is the ad to put online and you are off to go. Some of the more obvious advantage of online advertising is that you can advertise directly to your target market. You see the ones that will go to your site will have a specific purpose in mind. And if what they are looking for is not related to yours, they would not be going there in the first place. Another advantage is that your ads will reach anyone and anywhere on earth. Online advertising is global. Majority of the people now have their own computer with internet connection in their homes. But then, having a website does not mean that everything is done for you. In fact, websites are just a medium representing you and your company. It does help in simplifying many processes but that does not stop there. Bottom line is that websites should act as a support for your business and traditional ways will do the rest. [Link]
How to lead them to your site
In the internet marketing strategy of today, almost all who are promoting business have a killer email signature on the bottom. What’s the big deal about email signatures? How can they help you promote your site? An email signature is like a mini ad that is attached to the bottom of an email. Its message could be as simple as your name and email, or as elaborate as a flashing animated graphics. And with a just few mouse clicks, you can add your signature to the bottom of your emails automatically. To the individual, the email signature is a chance to be creative or make a political or social statement. But to the business person, an email signature is a great opportunity to advertise your business to everyone who views your email. While advertising is often banned in mailing lists and newsgroups, email signatures are not. Just post a message followed by worded signature Using email signatures costs nothing and takes virtually no time to set up. Even so, a lot of popular web marketers believe that it is one of the great ways to promote your site. And take note… they are not SPAM. [Link]
Why Write an eBook?
One of the most prevalent reasons people read ebooks is to find information about how to turn their Internet businesses into a profit-making machine. And these people are looking to the writers of ebooks to provide them with new ideas and strategies because writers of ebooks are usually people who understand the new cyberspace world we now live in. Ebook writers are experts in Internet marketing campaigns and the strategies of promoting and distributing ebooks. The cyberspace community needs its ebooks to be successful so that more and more ebooks will be written. Figure out what your subject matter is, and then narrow it down. Your goal is to aim for specificity. Research what's out there already, and try to find a void that your ebook might fill. What about an ebook about a wedding cake business? Or an ebook about caring for elderly pets? How about the fine points of collecting ancient pottery? You don't have to have three masters degrees to write about your subject. People need advice that is easy to read and easily understood. Parents need advice for dealing with their teenagers. College students need to learn good study skills - quickly. The possibilities are endless. [Link]
There is no such thing as too much advertising…
There are multiple types of collateral advertising that help "brand" your business. These include printing, stamping or embroidering your business name and Web address on the following; Pens, pencils, coffee mugs, coulees is your choice if you are planning on giving out useful souvenirs that people will see them more often. Golf shorts, t-shirts and ball caps. For the sporty type. Nothing like some leisure time with friends to promote what you do on office hours. Presentation folders, invoices, fax cover sheets and calendars. The workaholic. Having your business name and logo spread around your workplace is enough to give you that feeling of belonging, and loyalty. Bumper stickers, window stickers. This is taking business anywhere you go. Literally. Phone system ‘infomercial’ about your company for clients on-hold. Need I say more? Every opportunity should be maximized. You only have your creativity to think of. besides, the imagination has no set boundaries. Think of other means of displaying what you are. In advertising, there is no such thing as too much exposure. Also in advertising, every day is the best day for spreading big or small things about you and your business. [Link]
Ground breaking Rules
So, you have got a web site to build. You know what content and which technologies are to be used. Your next step is to come up with a navigational concept. What are the ground rules? One of the most important things to consider is your target audience. Knowing their needs and their priorities is crucial. When you understand your audience, you can make your design decisions with confidence. That is not to say that the navigation itself must be dull or overly simplistic, and this is where target audience is so important. The web's users now vary from young children to pensioners. What is easy to use for one group might be incredibly difficult for another. By keeping this in mind, you can establish what type of navigation to go for. If your audience is young and web-savvy, you are competing with a number of other similar web sites. It is a good idea to try to stand out by delivering a different and quirky navigation. On the other hand, a web site aimed at the over 50s needs to take a somewhat different route. It is likely that a huge proportion of this group is not as familiar or as comfortable with the concepts that are so embedded in younger users. [Link]
Planning your wireless business printing
Planning is important for a successful wireless network. What information should you take into account as you plan? Range is the key. Each technology has its own range limitations that will dictate the coverage area for that printing zone. You want a wireless printer to function to the fullest of its capabilities, so be sure to take into account the physical characteristics of the area surrounding its location. For example, placing a BlueTooth-enabled printer on a stand too far away from a desk area may not provide any services to the area you intended. Setting up your printing zones to accommodate the physical characteristics of your workspace sounds easy but planning for a zone that passes through walls or floors can be tricky. It pays to be careful and thorough in your planning. You also want to consider a printer's users. Setting up an IrDA-based printer without a space next to it for a laptop or PDA, for example, would force users to hold their devices while printing. The result would be some very unhappy users. All you want for Christmas is XML
Together with the Halloween costumes that are going into storage and the thanksgiving decorations going up is the reminder that Christmas is already approaching and fast! Then you start to think of all the presents you need to buy and the additional expenses that will be wiping your wallet clean. This is right when adult webmastering seems to be an attractive endeavor. The money is good, and your knowledge of HTML allows you to build the Web site and maintain it. And behold! Your Christmas spirit is in full bloom because your money problems are solved. That is if you believe the myth. First of all, being an adult webmaster is not an easy way out, as it's going to take a lot more than HTML knowledge to make some money. Second, being adept in HTML only gets you so far. You've got to already have or know where to find the business savvy. HTML is confining, and if you want to keep up with the rest of the developers out there, you better start thinking beyond the sphere of HTML and into the realm of XML. Then you put “that Christmas spirit” there… [Link]

Blogs may seem like an easy thing to do. But bloggers will tell you otherwise. Given that it is so much shorter than articles and do not seem to be as boring and subjective. But that is where all the good things end. Let us go to the “difficult things” part. The challenge is to get readers to get to your blog site, let alone have them read through. Now for the questions. With so many blog sites, how can one be sure that theirs would be visited? Ok, let us assume that you have many posts advertising your blog sites already. What makes one sure that people will actually go there? Even if you made the best blog you can think of, will your site be considered successful? There are still many questions that are surrounding blogs that are left unanswered. But there are enough advices out there on how to make one. Maybe a few answers would be more helpful than advices, for a change. One last try. Will I ever have people commenting on my blog? Or will this just be one of those read and ignored altogether? The usual suspects
Graphics are the usual suspects for heavy pages. It can be the result of either the highly graphic design or poorly optimized images. For these reasons, your load time is significantly extended. The number of visitors that come into a site is an important factor especially for those who have taken their businesses online and hoping it will work better there. If you already have an effective internet marketing strategy, the first thing you need to do is make people go up to the point where you can impose these strategies. The loading time is the important thing here. Since graphics make that impossible, try to decide if the graphics you are using are absolutely necessary. Then eliminate the ones or move them if they are not. Removing large graphics from the homepage to a separate gallery will likely increase the number of visitors who "hang around" to let the homepage load. If your site is one of those who cannot do without these designs because it is of importance, know how to optimize these graphics as best as possible. [Link]

How to Write Killer Blog Posts and More Compelling Comments
The thing with writing blogs is that you can do write anything on it. No need to be very serious and put on some highly researched facts and figures. Just some links will do. This way, your readers can choose if they would want to go into the more factual side of what you are saying. If people want to read about the “lighter side” of the world, then they would have to go to blog sites. If they want to bore themselves with technical terms and serious stuff, they would prefer the articles part or sites that give that kind of information. As was mentioned in the article, it is fine to voice out your opinions in your blogs. some people are very reluctant to do this for fear that some people might get offended. Or that they may be suddenly banned from the site. As long as you are not cursing, or saying some wild and crazy things about persons or things, why not? Blogs are for opinions. If the persons who thought of blog writing wanted to be technical in their writings, they would have created article sites. [Link]
Search engine ranking matters
Search engine rankings are getting extremely competitive nowadays that website owners are under extreme pressure to think of ways to gain more visibility in the search results. If it means higher page ranks, they by god, they would do anything to be part of that. There are many pressures coming in from many factors. Branding restrictions, guidelines in styles, legal issues, navigation needs, sales conversion and site interaction demands to name a few. The owners are all too aware of these things. These people should be taught again about the fact that search engines were designed for informational purposes. The businesses and companies making it online are setting this point aside and trying to exploit the search engines in order to attract more users whose main purpose is to seek information by luring them to try and buy something from them. But of course, many visitors are not so innocent anymore about these things. So what do online businesses do? They use new and ruthless tactics. This could have been acceptable if it were not for the fact that their styles often lead them to dishonest territory and making them do dishonest things. All for search of high ranks. [Link]
Life without ads
Don't get me wrong but most of the time I hate advertisements too. Other times I find it useful too. I guess it all boils down to the good, the bad and the irritaing ads. Besides, ads ae quite impossible to avoid. Even if you lock yourself up in your house, you'll see it there amongst your milk cartons, cereal boxes and anywhere that can be printed on. I think what made people hate ads is the fact that they tend to get on the nerves sometimes. Repetitions. Persuasiveness bordering to irritation. But then, that's what they are here for. That's their purpose. And that's what makes them sell. I also think that Stephen is one of those who thinks life is better without ads. Is it? Considering the part that advertisement makes in the daily lives of the people. I am not into and against ads, just sometimes they do serve their good purpose in our lives. And you would be lying if you say that they are all useless. Ads can be avoided, there are tips on how best to do it. Take note, avoided but not totally removed. Just so you can breathe a no-ad air, for once. By the way, aren't you advertising by writing that article? [Link]
Some things are best left ignored
If I find myself concentrated on finding what i came for on sites, I would definitely ignore those navigation areas that makes my simple task too complicated. I may even end up lost and in a different dimension, web site speaking. Research studies have shown that readers ignore things that look like banner ads on sites. With navigation sites looking more complex and more than complicated, they tend to ignore them in thinking of their use as different and not very useful for that matter. Navigation blindness is what these things are most often blamed to. Visual separation from other factors causes people to have temporary blindness on navigation areas. Just shows how people needs to be spoon-fed once in a while to be able to know the difference among things that are just in front of them. Site owners could try out different approaches to their navigation areas especially if they want their internet marketing strategy to work for their benefit. Users are becoming wise to the strategies that others use to lure them away from their main purpose that they are getting cautious in clicking the buttons that are appearing in front of them. I would be lying if i say that I havent been a victim to some navigation set-ups that are rampant in the net. And i wouldnt be lying when i say that I do ignore most of them most of the time. [Link]
Looking at bad designs to make good designs
If you want to be the next in line for the “Hall of Shame” in web site design, use flashes for your site. Flashes, or splashes, are usually found on the main pages of sites. These are animations, 3D's or moving pictures, with a bit of a text and a miniscule button that asks you if you want to skip the page. The creators of these flashes expect them to work wonders for web sites. They did. Until they got into the hands of the those who do not have any idea on how to use them in the first place. For the readers, they tend to be get boring in the long run. This is closely followed by frustration at having to click on something on the page and going back where they started. These are just of the things that flashes can do, other than making sites look a total mess. [Link]
